Immediate Wealth vs. Trust
The Bible warns against lack of knowledge. Most people read Jeremiah 29:11 as a guarantee for immediate wealth and comfort. That is eisegesis: forcing your own desires into the text.
The historical reality? This letter was written to captives facing a 70-year exile in Babylon. Most of them would die there. The verse is actually about trusting God through lifelong suffering, not getting rich quick.
Stop reading superficially. Move past the coffee-mug theology and learn true biblical exegesis.
